On Wednesday, 6 August 2025, we were thrilled to take part in the region’s most cherished agricultural event — the North Devon Show — this year with a heartfelt collaboration with Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
A Day Rooted in Community Spirit
The North Devon Show, a long-standing one-day agricultural spectacle held annually at Umberleigh Barton Farm, showcases everything from livestock and country crafts to equestrian feats and fairground fun. This year’s event delivered its usual mix of live music, food stalls, and family-friendly entertainment, set against a backdrop of warm weather and record attendance.
As a proud local nursery, we embraced the opportunity to once again be part of this vibrant community gathering and we once again proudly partnered with Children’s Hospice South West, an organisation whose vital work supports babies, children, young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across the South West.
Whilst the dedicated volunteers from CHSW sold coffees, cakes and other refreshments, we provided fun and engaging activities for young children as well as nappy-changing facilities and we were also the final stop of this year's education trail, handing out the goodie bags!
We extend heartfelt thanks to Children’s Hospice South West for their inspiring partnership, to our dedicated staff and volunteers, and most importantly — to the families and visitors who supported us at the show. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped us support CHSW in raising funds and awareness for an incredible cause, reinforcing our commitment to community and compassion.
